Overview of Services

Hi researchers, welcome to the Wistar Humanized Models of Disease Core! Humanized Mouse Models of Disease Core is founded in 2022. Our unique expertise is the humanized mice in multiple scientific areas, like HIV, EBV, bloodborne pathogens, and cancer PDX-related research.
Our service and study efforts have two models, we call them "track one" and "track two". Track one requires the PI has their own IACUC protocol to work on humanized mice before you order the animal and the core responsibility will be the generation of hu-mice. It will be ended on the date the animals are released to your IACUC protocol at 12 weeks post-surgery. Track two is a collaboration model to help more labs to utilize the humanized mice in your research working on the human immune system in vivo, we will work together with you from the IACUC to the publication throughout the project. Please make an appointment with the core director for a meeting if you want to go through track two for more customized needs. Track two collaboration will be based on the availability of core capability. We welcome both tracks! Please feel free to contact us for a discussion about your needs before ordering.
